Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

Bleeeck. The only thing decent about this place was the service. The lady at the cash register was nice for my group coming in so late, but the food was poor. The salad tasted worse than a pre-made one at the grocery store and the pizza was cold and super mediocre. Honestly I could have made a better pizza myself. I've had much better pizza served by the slice. Not impressed, y'all.

Kind of slow service, especially when it comes to pints/pitchers. When I went, only one person on duty could serve alcohol, and we had a large group, so getting drinks took a long time. Prices for drinks and pizza were not very reasonable, but at least you could order by the slice. Parking was a cluster.

About a year ago, something changed. Our favorite family pizza place in West Linn, Bellagios, became less appealing. Pizza Schmizza picked up the slack. It was interesting that each family member made the switch for a different reason. For the boys, it was a combination of the atmosphere (set up as a place where teens and tweens want to hang out) and the meal combos (variations of a large slice, soda and salad) that are almost always ready to go. For Mr. K, it was the pizza sauce. Something we don't care for at Bellagios. Plus, he has become a fan of the pasta dishes when he isn't in the mood for pizza. For me, it was my discovery of the Schpaghetti & Meatball pizza (yep, it is spaghetti & meatballs ON a pizza). They almost always have coupons floating around and the service is great. Now on to the sad part of the story. The location in West Linn closed suddenly this week. So when I went to place a large order for a birthday party, I couldn't use my local branch. The boys were set on getting pizza from Pizza Schmizza, so I ordered from the Westlake location in Lake Oswego. My order was ready when requested, the pizza was great and they didn't bat an eye at my 25% off coupon. So with the closure of two pizza places in West Linn this year, it looks like more drives to Lake Oswego and Wilsonville are in my future. ----------------- Just to be clear, there are two types of pizza places - family style and artisan. Kids don't tend to be fans of thin, slightly charred crusts, and interesting ingredients. So I'm a fan of Pizza Schmizza in relation to other pizza places of this type.

This review is for the service...not for the product. The kids who are working here have better manners than the other location. I am an old school. A smile and Thank You will earn my return visit. Pizza is okay. 3 stars for the pizzas. 4 stars for the service.

My first time trying Pizza Schmizza- tried the margherita and cheese pizza and both were amazingly delicious! The crust was perfectly baked and perfectly mixed with crunchiness and softness. The margherita pizza had great freshly sliced tomatoes and awesome amount of cheese. The service was pretty good too. A little pricier than your regular pizza's but the flavors are amazing, which makes it worthwhile.

This is a tasty little spot in the middle of a residential area but it's there to do the trick. You can go in and they have specials during Happy Hour on pizza by the slice as well as select beers. They just start carrying wine there too. It's not on the happy hour special but still a tasty surprise in a local pizza restaurant. Great for the quick stop.

Horrible- SLOW service. My order was wrong- my friend never got her pizza. The pizzas looked old and they were out of breadsticks- and looked annoyed when we asked them to make more...I would not come back here... They need to hire some grown ups- that might help....

Group review: pizza was mediocre. Service was horrible. I had to get up to grab my pizza off the counter.

This is my local Pizza spot. Great Pizza but the dough lacks salt and they never put the sauce and toppings all the way to the edge so you're always stuck with this huge doughy leftover crust. Not bad if that's your thing but I prefer Pizza not crust. That said, I still give it 5 stars however. I would give it 4.5 if I could though because there's room for a little improvement. First and foremost open up the whole restaurant so people who want some peace and quiet can chill out away from the TVs blasting sports in the other section typically reserved for parties. Secondly, letting the Pizza sit around uncovered seems a bit unsanitary to me. Lastly, fix the big hole in the wall at the Geek corner already.

Service here is always friendly and prompt. The quality of the pizza is consistently good, but don't expect it to be the best in Portland.

The pizza is not great, but our choices are limited for gluten free crusts in L.O. They charge a small fortune for a fairly mediocre gluten free pizza (I don't know if their regular pizza is any good). Despite all that, it would have been fine and I may have even written a positive review, but they would not honor a 20% discount that I had from my previous mediocre order because I forgot it at home. I get it, follow the rules, etc. But really? he wanted to go back home to get it. Of course I was not going to do that and had to forgo the whopping $6 which I would have given back as a tip anyway. Now I have to travel much farther to get the kids a gluten free pizza. Oh well.

The pizza here is good - a lot better than the usual big pizza chains that's for sure. Found the cheese pizza too greasy for my taste though. They seem to have a creative collection of pies, which I liked (ie beyond the normal everyday pies you can find anywhere). Would have rated this spot at five stars, but of the four or so times I've been there, the tables were always dirty. Yeah, I'm there for the pizza, but it would certainly be nice to be able to eat it on a clean table :)

With the Happy Hour from 2-5 each and every day, it is hard to beat this place. I live in the neighborhood and walk with the kids there for some 1/2 price pizza slices and beer. Love it!

Came down to Portland for Easter and went here. Pizza is good. Some of the better thin crust I have had. I'm from Seattle and I still think The Rock is better. My biggest issue on this visit is one of our pies didn't get made. Ordered a pepperoni and Hawaiian. One person in our party wanted Hawaiian and everyone else was done eating by the time we got the 2nd pie. Not the end of the world. Wouldn't keep me from coming back. Pizza itself a 4 or 5 star.

They messed up my order twice. Unfortunately, the second time I didn't even notice till I got home. All that for mediocre pizza :( Poorly sliced vegetables. Just...weird.

Took 30 minutes for non-pizza items. When I checked they had forgot. I had to go back 10 minutes later and they they scurried to drop my order the second time I asked. The first part of the order they brought out "to go" and we are sitting at a table. They then plated it and forgot to not add cheese when they made the pasta order that took 45 minutes to make. I never did see 2/3's of the order before I gave up and asked for my money from the cashier. Poor service and wrong orders have happened to me here before so I asked to talk to the manager and gave up after waiting 10 minutes more for them to show to show up. If you aren't coming here for pizza, don't bother, there is a good chance they will screw it up.

pizza schmizza is ok (3 star) pizza in my book but this place didn't even live up to that. not sure exactly what it was... maybe it was old and sitting around all day. we went in the afternoon. the people are nice enough. service is decent... just the food didn't meet pizza schimizza standards. i've had it enough at various locations to know the standard.

LE-GIT. Too legit to quit. Hey heeeyyyyy. I didn't even know this Pizza Schmizza existed...I've ran by here on my lunch break a hundred times but it's tucked away in westlake. I had only had Pizza Schmizza a couple times before at other locations and had not been overly impressed. Until now. It's not the greatest pizza I've ever had but it's pretty darn good and you can't beat the combo prices. $6.99 for a slice, salad, and drink....or $7.49 if you want a specialty pizza. For the amount of food it's not too shabby. I ordered the No Kiss Tonight pizza. Why do they call it that? Well it comes with Chicken, garlic, onions, more garlic...all the good stuff. I ended up putting the tomatoes from my greek salad on it. Add some hot sauce, oregano, parm, and pepper flakes and I was set! Large slice of pizza and I was content. The greek salad was pretty good too. Lots of spinach and it comes pre-mixed with the tasty dressing. Might ask for it on the side next time. Highlights: They serve beer and have a great patio area. As it's a bit tucked away you aren't staring at the street and it's a pleasant atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and all in all this place has some decent food. For under $10 you can get a good meal and will leave full. Even if you order a full sized pizza vs. a slice it's not horribly priced. I don't eat pizza terribly often but will definitely be back!

I go to this location all the time for lunch and it's great. I've ordered for pick up several times and it's always the same result as tonight. Call in the order for a large donho and bread sticks " that will be 40 min" ok, I show up and the food ordan hasn't been started, the cook (nice guy) walks over and says they are out of Canadian bacon. So I get a cheese pizza, no big deal just tell me when I order. Then my bread sticks are burnt. This has happened every time I pick a order.... Never going that location again, driving my way over to the down town location.
